Abstract

Yeremyan School had its special place among the schools of Van. It was oriented by the educational curricula of European gymnasiums and lyceums. The school had 3000 graduates, most of them entered Nersisyan School in Tbilisi, Gevorgyan Seminary in Ejmiatsin and Moscow Lazaryan Seminary. Over 100 graduates studied in European universities and professional schools. The School leaded a fertile activity and many prominent figures of science and culture were educated in the premises of it. It has a great role in maintaining a spirit of national unity and identity.
