Abstract

Every state during some historical period stands before the choice of becoming modern via modernization. There comes the problem of modernization theory which is vital for both political ideas and comprehensive development of the Republic of Armenia. The issue lies in the ways of modernization: to become modern via Westernization, or relying on the own cultural base? There comes the necessity of political discourse.
